A sandy beach on the bay, towels laid out on the sand, shallow water and a low jetty in the distance.

Beach, tennis, and a Moke

All inside the estate. The beach is minutes from the door.

Everything a week here asks for is already on the estate: the sand, the courts, the playground, and the car waiting on the gravel.

The beach

The estate's own, minutes from the door.

A short run down through the pines and the bay of Canoubiers opens in front of you, looking west at the Maures. The Moke takes the bags, the towels and the parasol, and comes back for whoever is still on the terrace.

A grass tennis court bordered by clipped cypress and umbrella pines, net up, a bench at the far side.

Tennis

Courts inside Les Parcs, cut into the pines.

Grass, shade on three sides, and the morning largely to yourself. Play at eight, before the heat arrives and the rest of the estate wakes up.

For the children

A playground on the estate, a few minutes from the villa.

Inside the gates the whole way, with a guard on the entrance around the clock. Somewhere to take them between the pool and dinner that is not another beach.

A rope-and-timber swing frame under the umbrella pines, a child running through the dappled shade.
A white open-sided Moke parked on the gravel drive in front of a dry-stone wall, with people aboard.

The Moke

Open-sided. Comes with the villa.

Open on every side and in no hurry whatsoever. Market in the morning, the port after dinner, and the short run down to the sand that nobody minds doing twice in a day.
